Shipping FAQ

If I have more than one sample to send, can I send them together, in one FedEx Pak?

Yes! If you have more than one sample to ship, you can place everything into one FedEx Pak. To prevent any mix-ups, please ensure each sample is packaged separately in its own box before placing them into the FedEx Pak. Please make sure to properly seal the FedEx Pak before shipping your package!

What are “Commercial Invoices” and what do I do with them? (US Only)

Commercial invoices are shipping documents required of shipments from the United States. Please ensure that both commercial invoices are filled out and signed, and included in the purple pouch together with the shipping waybill.

If you are shipping from Canada, the Commercial Invoices are not required.

(Please note: Commercial Invoices are for shipping purposes only, and are not payable)

How do I know if you've received my package?

Your waybill will have a 12-digit tracking number unique to your package. You may track the status of your shipment online at fedex.com/track. Additionally, your Account Manager will send you a confirmation email once the samples are in for processing.

(Helpful Tip: the left edge of your air waybill has several labels with the tracking number - feel free to keep a sticker for your records!)

How do I prepare my sample for shipping?

Once collected, place the sample inside the biohazard bag and/or blood tube, then place the sample together with the signed client consent form back into the original kit box, before placing it into the FedEx Pak.

You may send multiple samples back to us in one FedEx Pak. To prevent any mix-ups, please ensure each sample is packaged separately in its own box before placing them all into the FedEx Pak. Please make sure to seal the FedEx Pak before shipping your package!

Oops! I forgot to include something in the FedEx Pak, but sealed the bag already and can’t get it open. What should I do?

In the interest of time, you may open up another collection kit, and use the FedEx Pak (shipping bag) from that kit. Or, you can head to any local FedEx depot as they should have these bags on hand.

Note: Please be mindful not to mix up the contents of the kits, as there is a unique barcode associated with the supplies within each collection kit.

At any time, if you would like us to send you additional supplies, such as more FedEx Paks (shipping bags) or additional waybills to have on hand, please feel free to submit your request here or send an email to your Account Manager (supplies are always free).

I’d like to drop off my package instead. Where is the closest FedEx depot?

To find the closest FedEx Location, visit fedex.com/locate. Remember that all shipments back to SecuriGene are considered “Express Pickups”, so look for the orange icon to identify the last pickup time.
